[January 20, 2022]

Due to a staffing shortage, the Logan County Department of Public Health (LCDPH) will be closed Friday, January 21st.

The health department will be open on Thursday, January 20th and the scheduled COVID-19 booster clinic will take place as planned. However, due to limited staffing on the 20th, LCDPH is requesting that clients seeking other services come only if the services are immediately necessary.

The health department will resume usual full-time operating hours on Monday, January 24th.

LCDPH also reminds everyone that the symptoms of the COVID-19 Omicron variant can be as minimal as the common cold or more severe.

Even if you have mild, cold-like symptoms, you should avoid contact with people and seek testing. In addition, LCDPH reminds everyone to social distance, wear a mask in public (when indoors) and to wash hands frequently to avoid getting sick or to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus.

Information regarding health department services and testing locations can be found on the department website at WWW.LCDPH.ORG or by calling LCDPH at 217-735-2317.
