Delmar Lee Ballinger Sr. 61 formerly of Easton IL. Passed away on January 26, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 21, 1960 to Shirley and Annis (Vollintine) Ballinger; whom both preceded him in death along with a older sister Beverly DeVore.

He is survived by his wife Paige. Three children; AnnaMaria (Daniel Jr.) DeVore of Easton; Delmar (Elizabeth) Ballinger Jr. of Havana; Kimberly (Jason) Hayes of Clarksville TN and eight grandchildren.

Also surviving are six siblings; Clarence (Gerry) Ballinger of Easton; Russell (Lela) Ballinger of Burleson TX; Joanette (Royce) Taylor of Crock Mills TN; Dale (Deb) Ballinger Sr. of Virden; Robert Ballinger Sr. of Easton; Melinda Ballinger of Easton. A brother-in-law Kenny DeVore of Easton. Eva Mae Jockisch (an aunt) of Easton. He had several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Over the years he also made many friendships for he was a man who was not shy and would have a smile for everyone.

Delmar worked several years as a farm hand in his younger years; he loved animals; especially swine. He later then worked for Dickey-John Corporation and then finally Springfield Park District.

He enjoyed the outdoors, from mushroom hunting in the spring, to his most loved activity, fishing; or as he would call himself a catfish hunter. In his later years he developed a love for woodworking, making homemade peanut butter cookies; and a passion for cars, especially Mopar. A collector of older coins; Coca Cola decor and die cast cars.

Funeral Director

In the last few years he and wife; Paige had taken up the love and passion for showing their beloved car in car shows.

He is loved and missed dearly.
