On Saturday, a sizable crowd showed up to the Logan
County Fairgrounds for the annual Logan County Pride celebration.
The event started at 2 p.m. and lasted until 10 p.m. - right between
the rain and thunder that came through the area.
June is celebrated across the country as Pride Month, and this is
the second year that Logan County has seen such an event, and it was
put together by a non-profit organization (also called Logan County
Pride).
There was plenty to do and see at the event. There was food offered
by local vendors, and plenty of homemade crafts to choose from.
There was a wide range of art tables and face-painting, games, and a
bounce house for children. Several local businesses participated in
raffle drawings. There were also resources available on physical and
mental health, and voter registration. As the afternoon turned to
evening, there was a pet costume contest and a drag show.

An estimated 900 to 1,000 visitors came from all over the county,
as well as the surrounding counties, to show support for those in the LGBTQ+
community. Everything was family-friendly, and there were people of all
backgrounds to be found.
