[July 12, 2022]   David Arkebauer, son of Rex and Nichole Arkebauer, has been named “Student of the Year” at Lincolnland Technical Education Center (LTEC) for the 2022 school year and will receive a scholarship sponsored by the Rotary Club of Lincoln.

David has been enrolled in the LTEC Building Trades class for two years and was an essential part in the brand-new construction of two houses on 718 S. Madison (Habitat for Humanity House) and 201 9th Street in Lincoln, IL.

David has impressed his instructor Mr. John Ford and the rest of the LTEC Faculty with his willingness to learn any skill and his commitment to producing quality work. David will be a tremendous asset to any future employer or organization and is an outstanding example of an LTEC student preparing for a successful career.

While attending Greenview High School and LTEC, David has been quite active participating in Basketball, Golf, Track and Field, Drama Club, Stem Club, Scholastic Bowl, Wyse Team, Youth Council, FFA, Civic Improvement Association, and volunteers to mentor elementary students in his spare time.
