Lincoln American Legion to hold flag retirement ceremony June 14th

[June 10, 2022]  On Tuesday, June 14th - Flag Day, the American Legion Post 263 in Lincoln will host a flag retirement ceremony for American flags no longer in service.

Anyone who has a worn or tattered flag is encouraged to bring the flag to the Legion post on Fifth Street for proper disposal.

Flags may be brought the day or the ceremony, or there is a dropbox outside the Legion where flags to be disposed my be deposited.

The American Legion also offers flags for sale year round.

The Tuesday service will comment at 10:30 a.m. and the public is invited to attend.
