Logan County Tourism and Atlanta Tourism host Route 66 Days June 18th through July 4th

[June 17, 2022]     The Logan County Tourism Bureau and the City of Atlanta, Illinois Tourism announces the first Logan County Route 66 Days featuring the cities of Atlanta, Mount Pulaski, Lincoln, and Elkhart.

The event will kick-off with Cars & Coffee on June 18 from 8am-10am in Atlanta, Illinois, the start of Logan County’s portion of Route 66. The kick-off will be on Arch Street, in between Race and Vine Street. This event is free to attend and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. There will also be a Car Show at the Mill Museum on 66 from 2:00pm-5:00pm.

Logan County Route 66 Days will run from June 18-July 4. Participants will pick up their challenge cards and drop them off - Atlanta Public Library and Museum, the Davis Dairy Bar, Spirited Republic, and/or Logan County Tourism Bureau, during the timeframe. To complete the Logan County Route 66 Days challenge, once participants pick up the challenge card, they must visit 2 attractions, eat at 1 restaurant, and shop at 1 shop per participating town.

At the restaurant and shop, the participant must have their challenge card either initialed or stamped. Once completed and submitted, cards will be drawn for Logan County raffle baskets. For additional entries, participants can visit all attractions and shop at 2 shops and eat at 2 restaurants per participating town.

Logan County Route 66 Days serves the purpose of getting visitors and locals alike out and about in the county, exploring the history and legacy of America’s Mother Road- Route 66. Hop in, go for a drive, view the unique attractions in Logan County, eat some delicious food, and explore local shops.
