Tournament officials announced that COUNTRY Financial will serve as the Official Sponsor for the volunteer program for the 2022 Memorial Health Championship Golf Tournament presented by LRS and registration is now open.

The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS, a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event on the Korn Ferry Tour, is conducted annually at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Illinois. This four-day, 72-hole competition features 156 players from around the world vying for a total purse of $750,000.

The tournament is looking to recruit more than 400 volunteers to fill over 15 different committees at this year’s event scheduled for July 11 – 17 at Panther Creek Country Club. As the sponsor of the volunteer program, COUNTRY will support this dedicated team of people who perform a variety of critical needs throughout the tournament. Whether one is a golf novice, an avid fan, volunteered in the past, or a new volunteer, there is something for everyone.

“We are proud to once again support the volunteers that play such a pivotal role in the success of the tournament,” says JR Earley, Agency Manager of COUNTRY Financial. “Supporting the community and events like the Memorial Health Championship are at the core of what COUNTRY stands for, so we are excited to renew our support and welcome professional golf back to Central Illinois.”

There are numerous perks offered for volunteers including branded apparel, meals while working, weekly credentials for volunteers, additional tickets for family and friends and the opportunity to play in the volunteer golf outing at Panther Creek in August. There are also a limited number of junior volunteer opportunities available for individuals ages 14-17 during tournament week and this is a terrific way to earn community service hours.

“We are excited to launch registration for the COUNTRY Financial volunteer program and continue working with this group of very special people,” said tournament director Kate Peters. “Volunteers play an essential role in every aspect of tournament operations and are vital to our goal of raising charitable dollars for the five foundations of Memorial Health.”
