Griffen Turner, son of Paul and Carrie Turner, was named the March
Student of the Month for the Automotive Technology program at the
Lincolnland Technical Education Center. Griffen is a senior at
Lincoln Community High School and a first-year automotive technology
student.
Mr. Jon Graber, instructor, selected Griffen for many reasons. “He
is a pleasure to have in class, he is respectful, well-mannered and
wants to learn." Mr. Graber says Griffen is early every day to
class and is the last to leave. "He is a very hard worker and
doesn’t mind going the extra mile. I could go on and on about the
positives Griffen brings to my class. I also see that he wants more
than a free ride in life. He is willing to earn more than the
minimum. I see a very prosperous future for Griffen.”
Griffen is a member of LCHS Fishing Team, Mt Pulaski Trap and Skeet
Shooting Team, National Honor Society, and FFA. In fall 2021 he was
1st in conference and 2nd in all State for Trap Shooting and he
finished 2nd for his record book in Ag Mechanics in FFA. He is also
a 2021 FFA State Delegate.
