LaTrice Benichou has been named Director of Human Resources and Risk
Management at Lincoln College. Benichou will also serve as the Title
IX Coordinator.
Before her time at Lincoln College, Benichou spent three years with
the Springfield Urban League in Springfield, Illinois. As the
Finance and Human Resources Manager, Benichou was responsible for
people operations and labor relations, leave of absence management,
fiscal grant management compliance, COVID-19 protocols, and risk
management procedures to ensure employee safety.
Most recently, Benichou oversaw the successful implementation of the
Employee Self-Service portal of ADP Workforce Now, streamlining time
and attendance, leave of absence requests, and payroll processing
for employees.
“LaTrice’s vast experience related to many areas of human resources
and risk management will be beneficial in facing today’s higher
education challenges,” said David Gerlach, President of Lincoln
College.
Benichou notes several priorities for her department in the coming
months. She plans to strategize with other department directors on
recruitment and retention, building employee morale, and leadership
development opportunities for faculty and staff. She will also work
to streamline the current human resources and payroll processes.
Benichou holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from
the University of Illinois at Springfield. She also holds a Master
of Science in Government, Counter-Terrorism and Homeland Security as
well as a Master of Science in Government, Diplomacy and Conflict
Studies from The Interdisciplinary Center, now known as Reichman
University, in Herzliya, Israel. Benichou holds a certificate in
Cybersecurity and is currently working toward a SHRM certified
professional certificate.

“My time studying in Israel was life-changing. I had the opportunity to learn
from experienced security and diplomatic professionals who were on the
frontlines of their industries,” said Benichou. “While working in people
operations, I have been able to translate my degrees into action, specifically,
in the areas of risk management and conflict resolution.”
Apart from her role at Lincoln College, Benichou enjoys working with small
business owners, and individuals seeking to launch a business, on actionable
steps to grow. She also enjoys volunteering with culturally diverse
organizations within her hometown of Springfield, Illinois, and traveling with
her husband overseas to visit family and friends.
