[March 25, 2022]
The Elkhart Historical Society is delighted to announce its April
events, starting with the much-anticipated Wildflower Nature Walks,
each Saturday in April. (2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th).
This includes a 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. walk each Saturday, weather
permitting, by reservation only.
It is exciting to see the progression of the various flowering
species as spring casts off the winter drabs and comes alive again.
The final day, April 30th, is a combination wildflower and bird
event celebrating the returning birds as they migrate thru the
flowering woodlands on Elkhart Hill. The bloom time is short, and
space is limited, so get your reservations in as soon as possible.
Private tours can be arranged for groups of 10 or more on
Wednesday-Friday.
An optional lunch at Horsefeather’s Wild Hare Café can be added to
the reservation at an additional cost. All reservations must be made
by calling 217.947.2238. Just follow the instructions.
