On Wednesday morning U.S. Representative Rodney Davis spent a couple
of hours at Lincoln College. He began the morning meeting with
college President Dr. David Gerlach and Vice President Dr. Donna
Bradley.
It was a cold rainy day in Lincoln. The original plan had been to
show Davis around the campus before he addressed the American
History class of Dr. Ron Keller. However, due to the weather, Davis
was taken instead to the student center where he met several LC
students and spent a few minutes addressing the group.
After speaking to the group, he met some of the students one-on-one
and posed for photos with them.
Among the students Davis met and spoke with was Klaudia Blaszczyk.
She is a native of Poland and has a deep concern for what is going
on overseas. Dr. Gerlach had said earlier that she has friends and
family in the region and has worried a great deal about their
safety. On Wednesday, she and Davis spoke on this topic and she
talked to him about the people she knows in both Ukraine and Russia.

Dr. Gerlach said there are currently 66 international students
attending Lincoln College. Among those is one student from Russia.
He said the school is very aware of the conflict in Europe and is
always concerned about how foreign affairs impact the students at
Lincoln College.
After leaving the student center, Davis was taken to the Lincoln
Center where he addressed Keller’s class for about 30 minutes.
At the end of the session, Davis took time to pose for a group photo
with the students in attendance.
