Garage fire on Fifth Street determined to be accidental

At 4:36 p.m. on Sunday, May 1st, the Lincoln Fire Department was called to a structure fire at 404 Fifth Street in Lincoln.  The fire involved a single story garage with flames coming from a garage door.

Lincoln Firefighters made entry into the garage and quickly extinguished the fire.

The fire was investigated by Lincoln Fire inspectors.  At this time, the cause of the fire is being ruled as accidental.

The fire did an estimated $5,000 in damage to the structure.

Lincoln fire was assisted i the call by the Lincoln Police, Logan County Paramedics and the Lincoln Rural Fire Protection District.
