On, Sunday, May 8th, the Lincoln American Legion Post 263 resumed hosting it’s monthly Baseball Buffet Breakfast. The menu included scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, ham, sausage gravy, biscuits, mixed fruit, fresh donuts, coffee, milk and orange juice.

This past Mothers Day breakfast was in conjunction with the Humane Society of Logan County. This breakfast always draws extra attention with dozens of the best fresh baked pies up for sale. This year's pies were amazing and a wide variety. One even included a plate with couple of strawberry tartlets and a side of chocolate dipped strawberries.

The start of Sunday promised to be a satisfying fun morning for all.

In the kitchen, workers were stationed each doing their special part to keep plenty of food rolling out fast, fresh, hot and delicious.

Pies were still arriving as the first hungry patrons arrived for breakfast.

When all was over, HSLC sold 69 pies at $20 each.

The largest fundraiser for the Humane Society of Logan County is coming up soon. The HSLC Garage Sale takes place at the Logan County Fairgrounds on June 10, 11 and 12. Get ready now, donate or shop. http://archives.lincolndailynews.com/2022/May/05/
