| Car Cruise-In event kicks off the 
			summer in Atlanta

			The city of Atlanta and Atlanta Tourism announces its first car 
			cruise-in of the season, sponsored by Atlanta Public Library and 
			Museum and Logan County APA will be Sunday, May 29th from 10 a.m. to 
			2:30 p.m. at the Atlanta Dairy Queen and Truck Stop located at 102 
			Empire Street. The event is free to attend and may be rescheduled in 
			the event of inclement weather.
 The Atlanta Car Cruise-In will feature J.D. D.J’s Services and free 
			caricature drawings from 10a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be 
			appearances by the Hot Totties Pin-Up Girl Gang from Springfield, and 
			a 50/50 raffle. It is recommended that visitors and cruisers bring a 
			foldable chair to listen to the music.
 
 Situated midway on Illinois’ Mother Road, Atlanta is an iconic Route 
			66 stop for those traveling the road to Santa Monica. The car 
			cruise-in will provide both travelers and locals the ability to 
			display and view classic cars. The event is free to attend and 
			visitors are encouraged to stay and enjoy the cars, caricature 
			artist, pin-up girls, music, and food.

The Atlanta Car Cruise-In check-in will be under the big, blue tent and begins 
promptly at 10 a.m. Participants of the car cruise-in will have a form to 
complete and place on their dash for attendees to see the make, modal, and year. 
The event will conclude promptly at 2:30 p.m. Participants are welcome to drive 
in and join the cruise-in at any point during the event.
 For the early-birds, there will be Cars & Coffee at the Dairy Queen and Truck 
Stop from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Those coming to Cars & Coffee are encouraged to 
bring their beverages and pastries with them, or grab them coming in from 
Casey’s or Atlanta Truck Stop in town.
