[May 26, 2022]  EMDEN - Glen “Bob” Dale, 89, of Emden passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation:  Noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Service:  2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home

Obituary

Glen “Bob” Dale, 89, of Emden passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Bob was born on May 25, 1933, in Sullivan, Indiana to Hobart and Mildred (White) Dale. He married Darleen Swan on October 10, 1958. Darleen preceded him in death 1980. Later, Bob married Connie Biggs-Long. She survives in Emden.

He is survived by his wife Connie as well as five daughters: Glenda (Gary) Skelton; Stacy Dale (Bill Veff), Lisa (Rick) Lee, Kyle Wright, all of Lincoln and Bobbi Jo (Chad) Bray of Clinton. Also surviving are four stepsons, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, a very special firstborn grandson Christopher, and a special nephew Jeff Lough.

Bob was preceded in death by stepson Larry Long, three sisters, and three brothers. Bob was the last remaining survivor of his immediate family.

He served in the US Army and was a long-distance truck driver for ATA for over 50 years. Bob also enjoyed woodworking in his free time.

Services for Bob will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, officiated by Ron Otto. Visitation will take place prior from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00p.m.

Memorials may be made to Emden Fire and Rescue.
