Across Sunday and Monday, LDN staff attended four of the Memorial Day Services offered throughout Logan County.

In today's edition, coverage will begin with the services held on Sunday in the Hartsburg and Emden communities and the services held at the Lincoln American Legion Post 263.

Saturday, the Lincoln Community High School Railer Track and Field Team had a remarkable day at the IHSA State Track Championships.

Among the notable accomplishments was the first place finish in the 800-meter relay by LCHS team members Drake Rutledge, Brenden Heitzig, Jude Toft and Garrett Slack. Slack also set a new state record for the individual 800-meter.
