SHOP LOGAN COUNTY

Just before the city-wide trick-or-treat night on October 31st, John Martinek, flanked by his two business partners Nathan Hoefs (right) and Vic Martinek (left), snipped the ribbon, celebrating the grand opening of The Travel Tap.

After the ribbon cut, the owners provided cold apple cider to trick-or-treaters and Pumpkin Spice cold brew for accompanying adults.

Congratulations to Savannah Conrady of the Lincoln Fire Department. Conrady in the Fall 2022 recipient of the Clark-Rutledge Firemanship Award, given by the Illinois Fire Service Institute Academy in Champaign.

Conrady was sworn into duty as a probationary firefighter with the city in August. She then prepared for and attended the Firefighter academy, where she excelled in all areas, thus winning the prestigious award.
