Saturday was a holiday weekend in Mount Pulaski, with the annual Christmas on Vinegar Hill shopping opportunity held in various locations throughout the community.

The end of the day brought about another annual tradition, the Ball Brothers concert held at the Mount Pulaski Christian Church Family Life Center.

The Ball Brothers are always a popular conclusion to the day filled with Christmas activities, and it sets the mood for the upcoming holiday season for everyone in attendance.

The four-person vocal group has roots in Logan County. The two brothers, for whom the group is named, grew up between Mount Pulaski and Lincoln. Their brother-in-law and the fourth "adopted" brother of the group feel right at home in the community as well.

Saturday evening, the Family Life Center was packed with guests from the community and fans who follow the Ball Brothers and enjoy attending their concerts whenever and wherever possible.

It was a delightful evening, the atmosphere light and warm-hearted. Guests enjoyed a traditional secular Christmas music concert with a generous helping of religious Christmas in the mix.
