[November 22, 2022]    The trees are all in place, and many have already been decorated for the 2022 Winter Wonderland in Lincoln.

The annual decorated tree event will include trees decorated with themes for some and just beautiful colors and styles for others. Each tree is sponsored by a business, organization, or sometimes families who have done a tree in honor of or in memory of a beloved member.

The annual lighting event will be this coming Friday evening, November 25th at 5:30 p.m.

This year more than 100 trees will be lit, all at the same time and then guests in attendance will have the opportunity to walk around the Logan County Courthouse lawn, admiring each tree and appreciating it for what it represents, the spirit of Christmas.

The lighting ceremony will occur at 5:30 p.m. on the west side of the courthouse facing Kickapoo Street. There will be a temporary street closure to accommodate the crowds starting at 5 p.m.

Following the lighting, the first evening of carriage rides around the square will be offered to all. Rides are free to the public and sponsored by downtown businesses.
