- Carolyn Allen, 71, of Lincoln, passed away Friday,
November 18, 2022, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Obituary
Carolyn Allen, 71, of Lincoln, passed
away Friday, November 18, 2022, at St. John’s
Hospital in Springfield.
Carolyn was born December 1, 1950, the daughter of
Orville and Norma Mae (Groth) Behm. Carolyn is
survived by her son, Lynn (Amber Hickey and grandson
Gage Hickey) Allen ; her sisters, Emma (Daris)
Knauer, and Linda (Ron) McCuan, nieces, nephews,
friends and her beloved cat family.
Carolyn was a graduate of Southern Illinois
University-Carbondale and the Ray Vogue Art School
in Chicago. Always wanting to help others led her to
becoming a C.N.A. and working at several local
nursing homes as well as for Help at Home from which
she retired due to her health. |
Private family services will be held
at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Memorials may be made in Carolyn’s name to the
Humane Society of Logan County.
Carolyn’s gentle spirit, her love for all of God’s
creatures both great and small and her wish to make
this world a little bit better just by being kind,
will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
