The Lincoln Community High School theatre department is proud to present a collection of short scenes all set in a school as this fall’s play production Saturday and Sunday.

The show, titled “Summer’s Over - Back to School,” is being directed by LCHS graduate and current discipline clerk Tegan Follis with support from Jennifer Keith with performances at the LCHS Auditorium Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 9 at 2 p.m.

“Theatre at LCHS and everywhere, really, has suffered from the past two years of ‘will they-won’t they’ have a show, so we are pleased to be able to offer this collection of short scenes from the stage this fall,” Keith said.

Sophomore Sloan Green rehearses a scene from “Summer’s Over - Back to School,” a collection of short scenes for the Lincoln Community High School Fall Play.

The production features five separate scenes with a total cast of nine students, mostly new to the LCHS stage.

Presley Coale leads the cast in rehearsal for “Summer’s Over - Back to School,” a collection of short scenes featuring “Lost at C” by Jean Shepherd. Other performers are Maelee Cunningham, Logan Pumfrey, and Sloan Green.

The cast includes junior Logan Pumfrey, sophomores Grace Tolliver, Presley Coale, Charlie McFadden, Sloan Green, and freshmen Emery Kitterman, Maria Gavin, Sylvia Gizzarelli, and Maelee Cunningham.

Typically the LCHS fall production has three performances, but with events such as home volleyball and football games this week in support of Cancer Awareness efforts, the fall play will only be held on Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are only $1 to encourage attendance as we continue to rebuild the theatre department’s participation from limited seasons the past two years.

The crew members for this production include freshmen Keller Judd, Alaina Bauer, Kamy Battin, Cadin Frawley, Aiden Wilson, Abbi Harris, Rory Snyder, Mackenzie Plummer, Parker Maxey and Ashton Treakle.
