On  Saturday morning, there was an official changing of the guard, so to speak, at Modern Brake & Alignment in Lincoln.

The keys to the family-owned business were passed from Kevin Ray to his son-in-law Tim Canady and his wife Libby, who is Ray's daughter.

The business was founded in 1964 by the late Ivan Ray. In 1980 a similar guard changed when Ivan handed the keys over to his son Kevin. Now, in 2022 the third generation is taking over.

Kevin Ray and his wife Linda presented the keys to Tim and Libby Canady right before a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at 10 a.m. and an open house that followed.

LDN will have additional coverage of the event in the Tuesday edition.
