The Monday pink shirt picture features the lovely ladies at Blade's Hair & Nail Salon in Lincoln. The ladies know that fighting cancer is a considerable effort and want you to know that if you or a loved one is in battle, they are thinking of you and wishing you a very successful journey and victory over cancer.

When going through treatment for breast cancer or any other type of cancer, Chemotherapy may be your first and best option. While the treatment is effective, it does have side effects, including hair loss. A solid self-image during your battle is critical and hard to do when you face chemical-induced hair loss.

Did you know that the American Cancer Society has a program called Tender Loving Care that offers wigs, scarves, caps and other accessories at wholesale pricing for cancer patients?

On Thursday evening, Lincoln Memorial Hospital and the Oasis Senior Center co-hosted a drive-thru health expo in the parking lot at the Oasis.

Visitors remained in their vehicles and drove around the oasis building stopping at various healthcare and service-oriented vendors who shared information packets with each person in the car.

At the end of the line, drivers and their passengers had the opportunity to get their annual flu shot from the convenience of their cars. The shots were offered by the Logan County Department of Public Health.
