The Saturday pink shirt picture is of the State Bank of Lincoln staff. This is a group of people who know the numbers.

Speaking of numbers, here are a few:

This year, 287,850 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer.

Breast Cancer will take the life of 43,250 women in 2022.

Caucasian or white women have the highest incident rate at 133.7/100,000.

Black women have the highest mortality rate at 26.7/100,00.

On Friday morning Karen Hargis and Nila Smith snipped the ribbon celebrating a new address for Lincoln Daily News and new ownership. Former Co-owner Jan Youngquist was also on hand and joined the two along with staff, family, Little Miss Logan County, Lincoln Mayor Tracy Welch and city and county officials. The ribbon cut was followed by an open house with many community members on hand to welcome the business into the downtown area.

On  Friday afternoon, a large crowd gathered again for the second ribbon cutting of the day at Prairie Land Title in Lincoln. The title company, which also has an office in Springfield, is located at 507 Pulaski Street in Lincoln and is new to the community. Lincoln Office Manager Jamie Vaughan snipped the ribbon on the new business. She was joined by Lincoln and Springfield staff members, Junior Miss and Little Miss Logan County, Lincoln Mayor Tracy Welch, city council members, and local real estate members.

After the ribbon cutting, guests stayed for an open house and a chance to get to know the new business and its staff.
