Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society reopens its doors

[October 21, 2022]   LINCOLN - A ribbon cutting and open house will mark the re-opening of the Logan County Genealogical & Historical Society since its closing a year ago due to smoke damage from a fire in an adjacent building.

The ribbon cutting and open house are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22, with refreshments being served from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The ribbon cutting will be held at 1:45 p.m.

The LCG&HS building is located across the street from the Lincoln Depot and Logan County Tourism.

In conjunction with the occasion, all Christmas ornaments and books will be offered for sale at a 20 percent discount on Saturday. Following the open house, they will return to regular pricing.

The Society is resumed regular opening hours on Tuesday, Oct. 18, with volunteers being available to assist visitors.

The Center will be open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on the second and fourth Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memberships for 2023 will be available at $20 per person or $25 for two people residing at the same address.

Donations of Logan County historical items and books and/or monetary contributions are always welcomed.
