The Zonta Club of Lincoln recently offered a
monetary donation to Moms Who Care - Lincoln, a nonprofit
organization with the mission of helping students achieve success at
local schools by meeting essential needs. They have currently been
collecting items for their wish lists for both Lincoln Community
High School and Lincoln Junior High including deodorant, lotions,
body sprays, face wash, shampoo, chapstick, spirit wear, mechanical
pencils, cereal, dried fruit, nutella, rice krispy treats, and beef
jerky.
Moms Who Care is funded by donations, in-kind and monetary. As
physical donations are
received, these are used for students to be able
to “shop” for the things they need, like basic
hygiene products, snacks, and school supplies.
Monetary donations are used to purchase specific items such as
clothing, shoes, and essential items that are not in the room. Moms
Who Care is a locally funded organization that relies primarily on
community donations and the Zonta Club of Lincoln would like to help
spread the word of this organization’s work and encourage community
members to offer support in any way they can.
