On Wednesday, August 24th, the city of Lincoln hosted an employee appreciation day with a free meal provided to all city employees.

City employees were treated to the menu item of their choice from the Cheesed Out food truck. The truck was parked at the Municipal Services building on Limit Street. Employees could come out during their lunch breaks, or if off duty, any time they chose between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The truck also had food for sale to the public so families and friends could join the employees.

Picnic tables were set up inside the shop area of the building, and early in the day, several were already taking advantage of the kind gesture of the city.

The Cheesed Out food truck has recently been on the scene in several local events. It is a new business owned by Nick Soloman. He and his two buddies were busy on employee appreciation day, offering up a large variety of foods, most with one common denominator - cheese.
