Service:  3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano, TX,

Obituary

Judith Anne (Wilmert) Cole, 76, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022, in Carrollton, TX, after a long battle with COPD. Judy was born February 1, 1946, in Lincoln, to Herbert and Agnes (McShane) Wilmert. She married Dennis Edward Cole in 1964 in Lincoln. They divorced in 1975.

She is survived by her sisters, Pamela Overbey of Lincoln and Sandra Hanks of Anna, TX; her children, Kristen (Eric) Badowski of Plano, TX and Craig Cole of Lincoln; her granddaughter Madeline Anne Badowski and her grandson Dylan Edward Badowski.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Kevin Wilmert.

Judy worked for Texas Instruments after moving to Texas early in her life, and then worked at Nortel Networks for 21 years until her retirement in 1998. She loved gardening, reading, writing, poetry, and sketching.

A funeral service for Judy will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano, TX, with a reception immediately following at McGivney Hall in St. Mark’s Parish Center.
A burial will follow in October at the Old Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is assisting the family with local arrangements.
