Mount Pulaski falls to Sacred Heart-Griffin

[September 02, 2022]  The Lady Toppers lost a three-set thriller to Sacred Heart-Griffin on Wednesday night in Springfield. The final scores were 22-25, 25-23 and 22-25  

Senior Alexis Wade led the Lady Toppers with 11 kills. 
 

Je’Na Rentmeister, Grace Davis and Wade each had 12 digs versus SHG. 

 
Senior Hailee Daigh led the team with 24 assists.

 

Makenna Wilham, a senior, had 4 aces for Mount Pulaski. 

 

Alyson Murphy, a freshman, led the team with 3 blocks. 
 

Mount Pulaski’s JV team lost to SHG 8-25 and 19-25.

Mount Pulaski’s head coach, Alora Goodey, said following the game, “I could not have been more proud of the effort and hard work that this group of young women put in against the competitive SHG. SHG's defense definitely challenged us and showed us a few things that we can improve on. I am looking forward to continuing to see their growth daily.”

 

The Lady Toppers evened their season record at 1-1.
