"Beason marks 150 years," a four-part series commemorating the anniversary celebration in Beason this weekend, continues today, with part two focusing on area businesses. Among those Beason businesses is Top Flight Grain, more commonly known as the Beason Elevator. The elevator suffered tornado damage this summer in late July. In addition, the elevator was the site of an explosion in 2018.

Read about this business and others in the 150-year history of the Beason community in today's edition of Lincoln Daily News.

A large crowd came out on Friday afternoon for the annual Lincoln Community High School Homecoming Parade. The weather was perfect, warm but not hot with a gentle breeze blowing, and best of all, bright blue skies with just a fluffy cloud here and there.

Among the many entries in the parade was that of the Grand Marshal, Patsy Zurkammer. Zurkammer has long been a beloved staff member at LCHS, well known by many.
