Through every decade of the
American experience, there have been times of trouble and
challenging times. Each time of adversity the hearty American spirit
has transcended the times and stepped up to face the challenges. We
are a nation with a strong backbone.

 Being prepared, considering the need, gathering
information and making a plan has always been important to the self
reliant. Those who are best taken care of through thick and thin are
those who take care of themselves.
And so, no matter how you interpret the times, whether a time of
certain plenty or a time of anticipated trouble, having good
information to craft a plan is a significant key to success.
With this in mind, Lincoln Daily News has prepared this magazine. It
is a primer for concepts that might be important to be prepared no
matter what the times bring, always ready for what may come.
We will all face challenges throughout our lifetimes. And facing
them as a united community will help us through.
