Mahomet-Seymour defeats Lincoln in volleyball action

[September 28, 2022]  The Lady Railers traveled to Mahomet Tuesday night and lost in three sets to the Bulldogs in an Apollo Conference game. Lincoln won the first set 25-20, before falling 18-25 and 23-25 to the Bulldogs. 

 

Lincoln falls to 5-2 in the conference. Both losses came at the hands of the Bulldogs.

The Lincoln JV team lost in two sets to Mahomet-Seymour, 19-25 and 22-25.

The Lincoln Freshmen also lost 14-21 and 16-21.

In the Varsity match, Peyton Sasse led the Lady Railers with 14 kills. Kloe Froebe had 10 kills.

Addy Qualters, Alyssa Company, Lily Holmes and Rebecca Burge each contributed 2 kills for Lincoln.

Addy Qualters had 27 assists and 9 digs for Lincoln.

Becca Heitzig had 28 digs and 4 aces for the Lady Railers.

Froebe had 14 digs and Holmes had 7 digs, while Taryn Stoltzenburg contributed to the defensive effort with 6 digs.

Company led the team with 4 blocks.

Jenna Bowman had 1 ace and 1 dig.

The Lady Railers record is now 14-4. The team will play in a tournament at Riverton this weekend.
