[April 02, 2023]   On Saturday, April 1, the Lincoln Park District held a Spring into Wonderland Open House.

As people walked in, signs told them to follow the white rabbit for more adventures.

In the gym, several vendors, businesses and organizations were set up.

Vendors and businesses included I3 Broadband, Country Financial, Emma Gems, TM Rock Art, Purium, Mike’s Woodworking, Honey Creek Farms, Beauty Counter and Tupperware.

Organizations with information tables were the Butterfly Project, Community Child Care Connection and Illinois Coalition for Community Services.

The Lincoln Park District had a registration table where people could sign up for swimming lessons, fitness classes and various programs.

Another table had desserts and tea for a Mad Hatter Tea Party.

The Mad Hatter was on hand to help host the event.

Activities such as Mad Hatter crafts, face painting and flower planting were set up for children.

Energetic children could play in the bounce house, climb through tunnels, dig in sand or play connect four.

Children could also have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Photos By Ariel offered families the opportunity to purchase the photos.

Around 2, Alice in Wonderland came to visit. While families waited for the magic show, she and a partner showed everyone some swing dance moves.
