The weight of the cross

[April 05, 2023]  As we near this season of hope in the way of the Cross, I can’t help but think of the hope of the cross.

I can only imagine the weight of the cross as Jesus carried it to Calvary and I think of the weight that we carry daily. Some may be under the weight of illness, others grief of the loss of a loved one, others lack of finances, even the homeless.

But what a blessing to know that Jesus took our sin to the cross and like him, we can live again in the blessed hope that old things are passed away and we can have a new life in him.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phillipians 4:13
