Larry Howard Howen, 77, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at GracePoint Rehabilitation Center at The Christian Village in Lincoln.

Larry was born on May 6, 1945, in Lincoln, the son of Howard and Mary Lou (McCance) Howen. He married Marcia Rohrer on September 11, 1965, in Lincoln.

Larry is survived by his wife, Marcia; son, Scott (Alisa) Howen; grandchildren, Bradford (Violet), McCance, and Cora Howen; and siblings, Jann (Michael) Denoncourt, and Judy (John) Sara.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry proudly served in the Army Reserves. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln. Larry had held several offices in local organizations including former president of the Rotary Club, treasurer at the Oasis Senior Center, and president of the Logan County Cemetery Association. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. A burial will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Larry’s name to The Oasis Senior Center or The First United Methodist Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
