[August 07, 2023]  County fairs wouldn’t be complete without the traditional tractor pulls. From the young to old, to the slow and fast, Logan County Fair did not disappoint with bringing in the local garden tractor pulls and ITPA (Illinois Tractor Pulling Association), sponsored by: Chuck Holzwarth Flying Service.

The sun was warm, the motors were hot, the grandstand was full, and the track was loaded with pick-up trucks and spectators when the 1,050 garden tractors started the night off at 4:30 pm. The garden tractors had 10 entries overall with Bill Nipp taking 1st place, Keith Frueh getting 2nd and Jason Vincent placing in 3rd place.
The ITPA had six different vehicle weight classes where the premiums paid out went to the first eight that were placed.
