Barbara S. Bauer, 82, of Lincoln, passed away at Lincoln Village
Nursing Home in Lincoln on Thursday, August 4, 2023.

Obituary
Barbara S. Bauer, 82, of Lincoln,
passed away at Lincoln Village Nursing Home in
Lincoln on Thursday, August 4, 2023.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. No services are
planned at this time. Burial will be at New Union
Cemetery at a later date.
Barbara Sue Nichols was born August 14, 1940, the
daughter of Paul D. and Oletha M. Richard Nichols.
She was united in marriage to Donald W. Bauer on
March 7, 1959, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in
Lincoln. He survives.
Barb is also survived by their children: Bill (Lauri)
Bauer, Mike (Sharon) Bauer, and David (Joni) Bauer;
three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and
one sister-in-law, Cathy Nichols in Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four
siblings: Pat Murphy, Jerry, Nichols, Tina Kiley,
and Ron Nichols. |
Barb had worked at Eureka Williams,
Lincoln Garment Factory, and Lincoln College as a
salad maker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and
cooking.
Memorials may be made to Logan County Paramedic
Association.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home of Lincoln.
