State Bank of Lincoln, a division of Heartland Bank and Trust Company, is excited to announce upcoming branch renovation work and a transition to the bank name.

After careful consideration and with the full support of the local management team, the trade name State Bank of Lincoln, a division of Heartland Bank and Trust Company, will change to Heartland Bank and Trust Company, effective Monday, September 18. This does not impact customers in any way as the legal name has not changed.

“Using the legal name, Heartland Bank and Trust Company, is clearer and consistent for customers, especially those who use our branches in other communities as they travel. This will also create unity among all branches and staff,” shared Dave Irwin, Senior Vice President, and Senior Lender of Heartland Bank. The trade name State Bank of Lincoln was only used in Lincoln.

Additionally, the branch at 111 N. Sangamon Street will be remodeled to enhance the location from drive-up only into a more welcoming and efficient full-service branch housing retail and lending services. The Sangamon branch will temporarily close at the end of business on Friday, September 15 to begin the remodel. Banking services will continue to be available downtown at 508 Broadway Street and 303 Pulaski Street, as well as at the bank’s 818 Woodlawn Road location. Timing and plans for the reopening of the Sangamon location are still being finalized; however, work is expected to be completed in early-to-mid 2024.
