Judge Thomas Funk announces
retirement

Long
time Logan County Associate Circuit Judge Thomas Funk has announced
his retirement from the bench effective March 1, 2023.
Funk has served the 11th Judicial Circuit of the State of Illinois
since December of 2008. “It has been an honor and a privilege to
serve the residents of Logan County and the rest of this circuit,
one that I will always be grateful for being able to have,” said
Funk.
Funk, who has lived his entire life in Lincoln, practiced law in the
Logan County State’s Attorney’s Office, served as the county’s
Public Defender and had a solo practice for nearly 20 years before
he was appointed to the bench.

Judge William Workman, also of
Lincoln, has been assigned the duties previously fulfilled by
Funk.
