Long time Logan County Associate Circuit Judge Thomas Funk has announced his retirement from the bench effective March 1, 2023.

Funk has served the 11th Judicial Circuit of the State of Illinois since December of 2008. “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the residents of Logan County and the rest of this circuit, one that I will always be grateful for being able to have,” said Funk.

Funk, who has lived his entire life in Lincoln, practiced law in the Logan County State’s Attorney’s Office, served as the county’s Public Defender and had a solo practice for nearly 20 years before he was appointed to the bench.
