[February 13, 2023]   On a beautiful weekend Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12, the second annual Valentine’s Day Market Weekend on Route 66 was held in Atlanta’s Union Hall.

Atlanta Tourism Development Director Whitney Ortiz said it was the first Route 66 event in Atlanta for 2023, but there will be many more to come this year. Ortiz was happy with the turnout and said within the first hour and half, 130 people had already come to shop.

This year’s market had nineteen new vendors and Ortiz said fourteen of them were vendors who were new to the event. Items the vendors were selling provided shoppers with a special gift for a loved one or a treat for themselves.

Among the unique items for sale were 3D dragons and flowers made by Kyle and Ramona Combs Custom 3D Printing Machine Embroidery. Kyle Combs said he designs crafts, prototypes and replacement parts. With the printer, Combs said he can make almost anything.

NerdMaker Studio makes similar 3D designs along with doing resin crafts, engraving and cutting.

Freeze dried treats and candies in a variety of flavors were available Space Cadets Candy & More.

Scorch and Burn Crafts are done on wood and other surfaces with a laser and personalized if needed.

Shina Miner was selling handmade wax melts, wood wicks, fragrances, car clips and scent inserts.

Carole Miller of Blazing Star Embroidery had embroidered towels, pillows, jacket and keychains.

Wooden signs and crocheted headbands were among the items available from Ana Creations and Just Another Craft Chick.

Pants, sweaters, t shirts, dresses and purses could be purchased at You Are Fashion Boutique.

Other products available included homemade jewelry, car freshies, goat milk soap, bath salts, preserved flowers, ear warmers, essential oils, nail polish sheets, books and scenic photographs.

With such a variety of handcrafted designs and other merchandise, the Valentine’s Market seemed to have something for everyone.
