Incumbent Rob Jones

[February 23, 2023]   I am Rob Jones. I’m a life-long resident of Lincoln. I’ve been married to my wife Gretchen for 33 years. We have two adult children, our son Nick (his wife Madeleine and their daughter Hadassah), and our daughter Natalya. They have recently all moved back to Lincoln.

I recently retired for the State of Illinois where I served as a security officer for 29 years. Shortly after retiring, I filled the vacancy for the Ward 1 alderman position on the Lincoln City Council. I’ve been a Ward 1 resident for the past 23 years.

Some areas of city business that are important to me are improving roads and alley, having a responsible fiscal budget, and continuing with the improvements of city parks. In addition I’d like to see growth in Lincoln and more employment opportunities. I’m currently serving on the city of Lincoln Economic Development Committee
