[February 24, 2023]  Thank you for the opportunity to share my beliefs about the future of Lincoln.

I believe there is much potential for the growth of small business, and in our rich heritage as an agricultural community.

As a small to medium business-person for many years, I have experience in running a small business on the west side of Lincoln. I believe the city can create a culture where local people are encouraged in their desire to start small businesses and supported through the process.

  • Small to medium businesses are the backbone of our community. We need to find ways to support them.

  • Create a start-up culture that encourages and creates opportunities for and eliminates barriers to starting small businesses in our community.

  • I also believe we have a rich agricultural heritage in our community.

  • Find ways we can exploit that rich heritage for tourism, creating a link between the family farmer and tourists to the city.

  • As caretakers of our city, we need to make sure we focus on protecting that rich agricultural heritage for the future. We need to make sure that our land is used in the best ways possible to sustain both our families and the environment for many years to come.

I have always been interested in the political process. I believe that each person in the city needs to be represented fairly. I believe that the City Council should be transparent with each action it takes.

As a conservative, I believe that the city should not make any decisions that conflict with the long-term well-being of its citizens.

[to top of second column]

As a citizen of Lincoln for over thirty years, I am throwing my hat in the political ring. I believe that the best is yet to come for Lincoln. I would like to be a part of that process, and am asking for the votes of the residents of Ward One during the Republican Primary Election.

Voting is open now, and will take place at the Office of the County Clerk on the second floor of the Logan County Courthouse from 8:30-12:30 on Saturday, 8:30-6:30 on Monday, and 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28th.

I would appreciate each and every vote, and would strive to represent each voter well.
