Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta

Service: 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home

Obituary

Barbara E. Schultz, 73, of Colfax, passed away at Arcadia Health in Bloomington on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Services for Barbara will be held at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta on Friday, March 3, 2023. A one-hour visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Brad Nave will officiate. Cremation Rites were accorded. Burial will be at Hudson Cemetery at a later date.

Barbara Elaine Gresham was born July 29, 1949, in Waynesville, the daughter of Robert L. and Elizabeth Harvey Gresham. She was united in marriage to Edward Isaac Schultz on March 10, 1978. He preceded her in death Dec. 3, 2020.

Barbara is survived by two daughters: Tammy Schultz and Cammie Schultz, three step-children; eight grandchildren: Michael Schultz, Henry Payton, Chris Payton, Selena Childs, Charmaine Bandenhorst, Shelby Raney, Dorothy Uphoff, and Gunner Pichon; four great-grandchildren: Autumn Schultz, Liberty Schultz, Braxton Pichon and Milanii Schultz; and ten siblings: Wayne (Rhonda) Gresham, Robert Gene (Diane) Gresham, Donna Sympson, Cindy Coggins, Theresa (Chuck) Funk, Rick (Kelly) Hoffert, Babette Ware, LaDonna Polen, Jimmie (Laura) Gresham, and Larry Gresham.

Funeral Director

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Doris Beck Gresham; one brother, Harold Gresham; and two sisters: Kathy Wells and Charmin Karrick.

Barbara was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Bloomington. A hard worker, over the years she had worked for Funk Seed Co., DIXIE Truck Stop, Pantagraph delivery, and as a home care aide. She mowed yards and helped her neighbors in whatever way she could. She loved country and gospel music, seek & find puzzles, and horses.
