At the Tuesday night Committee of the
Whole meeting of the Lincoln City Council, Officer
Collin Antoine was welcomed and congratulated by the
aldermen for his promotion to Corporal within the
Lincoln Police Department.
Corporal Antoine was scheduled to be sworn into his new
position with the LPD at the Tuesday, January 17th
council meeting but was called away for a report of
shots fired in a residential portion of the city.
Mayor Welch delayed the swearing ceremony to the end of
the meeting, but the call, which resulted in three
arrests, kept Antoine from returning to the council
chambers that evening.
This week, he took his oath as administered by City
Attorney John Hoblit and was congratulated by the
council members and Police Chief Joe Meister.
