A
power point relating the story of the Lincoln waterworks from its
historic beginning in 1886 at the City of Lincoln's highest point,
which was on Tremont Street, to its present day progression will be
related by Nathan Pennisi Monday night at the Logan County
Genealogical & Historical Society.
Pennisi, superintendent of operations for the Illinois American
Water Lincoln and Mt. Pulaski systems, will speak at 6:30 p.m. He
will also give updates on the new Lincoln plant and the Mt. Pulaski
waterworks. Refreshments will be served following a brief business
meeting. The public is invited. LCGHS is located across the street
from the Lincoln Tourism Bureau and Depot.
