Executive Director of Continuing Education

Heartland
Community College has named Angie Coughlin as Executive Director,
Continuing Education.
The Heartland Continuing Education department develops educational
programming to serve the community beyond the College-credit degree
and certification programs. Continuing Education programming
includes personal enrichment courses for all ages, Kids@Heartland
classes, professional development and business solutions courses,
Truck Driver Training, as well as Traffic Safety School, and the
Challenger Learning Center.
The Executive Director’s primary responsibilities include
operational planning, staff supervision and evaluation, developing
and implementing public outreach strategies, and strengthening
external community relationships.
Coughlin previously held the position of Director, Continuing
Education Outreach & Professional Development at Heartland since
2012. She first joined the College in 2006 as a Program Manager for
Community Education.
She holds a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration
from McKendree University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English &
Professional Writing from Eastern Illinois University.
