WLB students deliver thank you gifts to local first responders

On Wednesday, May 17, students from Stephanie Miller’s fourth grade class and Mindy Lile’s fifth grade class at West Lincoln Broadwell did a service project for the first responders in Lincoln.

Over the past couple of weeks, these students brought in items like granola bars, candy and trail mix to put in gift bags. They spent the morning helping intervention staff Ashleigh Neitzel and Lisa Fitzpatrick pack the bags with the goodies.



Students then took a bus trip to deliver the bags to first responders at the Safety Complex,

Lincoln Police Department,

Lincoln Fire Department

and Lincoln Rural Fire Protection District.

The students thanked the first responders for their service as they handed them the bags.
