Paint the Paper Pink

Duvall Automotive

Hampton Inn

The two Pink Shirt pictures for today are Duvall Automotive and Hampton in. Both of these groups are all about customer service and answering your call when you are in need. After all, if your car or truck breaks down, you’ll want to call a mechanic shop. When you learn that you have more guests coming for the holiday than you have bedrooms, you’re going to call a local motel to make those accommodations for family.

But did you know that the American Cancer Society also puts a great deal of importance on customer service of a sort. When you’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer and you need someone to talk to, the ACS has a support group you can call or visit via the internet. If you have questions about your diagnoses, ACS has a hotline phone number (1-800-227-2345) you can dial 24 hours a day, seven days a week and get the assistance you need.

When the diagnosis is cancer of any kind, questions often arise after you have left your doctor. Those questions come up as you try to lay your head down and sleep. You think of something and don’t want to wait for your next appointment to hear an opinion. You wish there was someone you could talk to who has already gone through this ordeal and survived. Whatever you need, the ASC has a resource to help you through it.

Today, Lincoln Daily News proudly brings its readers part two of a three-part series “Salute to the Seniors” of the Railer Football team.

We as a community are proud of this team, we’re excited to see how the story ends for the 2023 season. We want these young people to know they are respected, and we support them as they go into the last regular game of the season.

There is quite a bit riding on the last game of the season for these seniors because fans are looking for a win and rooting them on. We draw from one of the seniors featured today using Ryna Fruge’s favorite quote, which came from Coach Silkowski by the way; “Pressure is a privilege; it only comes to those who earn it.”

This team has “earned it” and regardless of the turnout this Friday night, they have also earned our admiration for accomplishing a feat that has not been accomplished in many a year of LCHS football. Five wins, hopefully soon to be six, is quite an accomplishment and we applaud the entire team for having made it.
