The Lincoln Woman’s Club recently installed and
stocked a tiny food pantry at the side ramp entrance to their club
building.
The little pantry was built by Justin Dietrich’s Lincolnland
Technical Education Center Woods class at Lincoln Community High
School. It was installed by Bret Aukamp and members of Boy Scouts
Troop 1102 and generously paid for by one of the LWC members.
Club members see this as a way to help those experiencing food
insecurity or a food shortage crisis. They encourage the community
be a part of the service by bringing their non-perishable items to
place in the pantry.
While the pantry is on LWC property it is for everyone in the
community. Anyone who needs food is encouraged to come and take what
they need. If and when you are able, if you take food, and have
something you can give, please do so.
