Local authors will be recognized during a Logan County Authors Night at 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 19, hosted by the Genealogical & Historical Society.

All area authors are invited to introduce themselves and their books at this event and are being offered the opportunity to both sell and autograph books. Those unable to attend will also be recognized and are being asked to submit written information for presentation.

The LCGHS collection of works by local authors will be on display and refreshments will be served. The public is invited.

The public is invited to visit the Society Center, 114 N. Chicago St., located across from the Tourism Bureau and Lincoln Depot, to read these and other books during its regular hours. The Center is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the second and fourth Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
