Local
authors will be recognized during a Logan County Authors Night at
6:30 p.m. Monday, August 19, hosted by the Genealogical & Historical
Society.
All area authors are invited to introduce themselves and their books
at this event and are being offered the opportunity to both sell and
autograph books. Those unable to attend will also be recognized and
are being asked to submit written information for presentation.
The LCGHS collection of works by local authors will be on display
and refreshments will be served. The public is invited.

of attendance, regrets, and/or written information to

or by phoning 217-737-3710. The Genealogical Society is also
accepting donations of books by local authors to add to its
collection.
The public is invited to visit the Society Center, 114 N.
Chicago St., located across from the Tourism Bureau and Lincoln
Depot, to read these and other books during its regular hours.
The Center is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m.
to 3 p.m. and the second and fourth Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1
